The 12th edition of the Weird Market takes place from September 30th to October 4th 2020. Weird is the most important professional animation, video games and new media market which takes place annually in Spain and one of the most important European markets. Weird (former 3D Wire) appears as a renowned event in the Mapping the Animation Industry in Europe publication of the European Audiovisual Observatory and the European Commission. This year, due to the social and healthcare situation brought about by Covid-19, this year’s market will take place virtually and will featureย online presentations from all over the globe. One of those presentations will be Celflux.ย

WEIRD MARKET SELECTS 203 ANIMATION, VIDEO GAMES, COMICS AND BOARD GAMES PROJECTS
WEBSERIES AND TRANSMEDIA PROJECTS FROM AMERICA, ASIA AND EUROPE
Multiple countries from three different continents come together in the selections ofย web series and transmedia projects. In the first section, there are 27 works that are included in the catalogue and a dozen of them (from America, Asia and Europe) will advance news during the course of the Castilian-Leon event. The Spanish Vip Petsย by รlex Cervantes and Manu Gonzรกlez, the Canadianย I Was Thereย by Arnaud Bouquet, the Mexicanย F#%@ My Familyย by Ricardo Abraham Ibarra or the more exoticย AstroLOLogyย by Ken Foong (Malaysia) andย Celfluxย by Everard McBain (Trinidad and Tobago) are some examples.
This is the second time that Celflux is visiting Europe. The first time was our virtual attendance at the Annecy Film Festival in France. It’s an awesome feeling to know that our project from Trinidad and Tobago has been selected to be presented at this prestigious event in Segovia Spain. This gives us a decent level of exposure so that many more people around the world would hear and know about the hero Okira and the story of Celflux.ย We are always reminded where this journey started and are amazed to see where it has taken us so far. We look forward with great anticipation to see where the Celflux journey takes us next.ย
