In reply to ForThe PeopleShow. Hello @kaamon:disqus, and thank you for the comment and encouragement. Yes, we agree that Issue one had it's errors. Both in the story and the artwork. Thanks to feedback from kind folks like yourself, we were able to improve upon our work for issue no.2, and hopefully even more improvement was made for issue no.3. You can read issue no.2 for free as you did with issue no.1, and issue no.3 will be out soon and we'll make that available free as well some time in the future. Thank you again for taking the time to check out Celflux, and for sharing your thoughts and words of encouragement.

I have to agree with one of the other readers, this is way too good to be free. The art is awesome! But the super powers genre is a difficult one to crack. The story in the first issue was ok, but hard to follow. Everything eventually made sense until the story jumped to the main character being back in her homeland. There was no explanation for that, and what happened to the rest of the team? I’ve written fiction, its hard and takes a lot to get a winning format. I’ll keep reading. And I wish you the best!

Meh…. It’s alright. I’ve seen better,… but I’ve also seen worse. I’ll follow just to see if you can keep it up and improve. If it ends up bombing… well I’ll be very dissapointed.

You are right, while we did choose a woman of color for our main character, we believe that people of all races, backgrounds and cultures will be able to identify with her as she goes through the same challenges and struggles we all go though.

I’m shocked and amazed that you would make this available online for free. It’s really good work. The artwork is fantastic. The story could be better, but it’s gripping enough in the first issue to guarantee that I come back to find out more. It looks like there’s a whole other world involved in this. I’ve seen a few people attempt the team superhero theme, and simply come off as copying Avengers of X-Men. This is different, and I like it. Four out of five stars for me.

So… A woman of color as a main character? This in itself makes this book a contender. But when people read this it’s not that that will capture them, but how real Okira is. I mean I really feel like I can identify with that character. Not just because of her color, but her realness. I’m really, really intrigued. Can’t wait.
